Building Global Competence Through Skill in Cultural Code-Switching LIMITED
Limited Capacity seats available

A critical skill for global competence is cultural code-switching (Molinsky 2013), modifying behavior to fit the cultural context. This process provides multiple opportunities to feel inauthentic and incompetent as we adapt our behavior in order to be effective and culturally appropriate. Molinsky’s research shows this presents the greatest challenge for success interacting across cultures. However, small, consciously chosen, behavior modifications can produce successful outcomes. Practice and debrief using Molinsky’s 4 Step Process.
